A brief tour of the life of Georges LemaƮtre, father of the Big Bang Theory (Version 1.0), from his early days in Charleroi, Belgium, as a student interested in engineering, to his post-World War I entry into the seminary to be a Catholic priest, his years as a graduate student studying Einstein's Relativity at Cambridge, Harvard and MIT, and his famous (and infamous) interactions with Einstein, Eddington, Hubble, Pope Pius XII and Fred Hoyle as he developed the first working model of what became known as the Big Bang theory.
