So, for the purposes of our photometry and so on we retain our telescope-related names, as this makes it easier to go back and check the observing logs. But, for public consumption we want nice, sensible image names and simple titles.
We use two scripts to ease the process: release.cl actually renames the "photometric" frames, and fixupstack.cl messes around with the stacked images.
