Title: Isotopes and the birth environment of the solar system: evidence for sequential star formation?

Ed Young, UCLA

Lowell Observatory, Thursday, 26 January, 2012 at 3:30 p.m.

Both stable and radiogenic isotopes suggest the possibility that the solar birth environment was affected by local enrichments by more than one supernova and perhaps red giant stellar winds as well. In this presentation we will focus on the implications of the stable isotopic composition of the solar system in a Galactic context.
