POLICIES FOR USE AND PRICING FOR LOWELL OBSERVATORY HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPHS

Any public use requires the written permission of the Lowell

Photographs from the Lowell Observatory Archives used in a particular
project are subject to a one-time use fee of $50.
This fee helps to cover the cost of preserving our photographs,
maintaining our database, and providing quality reproductions.
The fee does not apply if the images will be displayed privately.

In special circumstances, the fee may be lowered or waived at
the discretion of the Observatory.  Permission will be granted
for one-time, non-exclusive use only, of any manifestation of the
current project, upon payment of the use fee.  Users must reapply
for use in future projects or editions.  Use of the credit line
"Lowell Observatory Archives" is required.

The images cannot be used commercially in products such as
T-shirts or in advertisements.

Prices:

Per Project Use Fee - $50

Each image costs $10 and is available in the following formats:

	      Digital (FTP)   - No additional charges
   CD	           - $20 per CD
 Print           - $40 each

        International           $20

Delivery time is two weeks on images which must be shipped.
Rush service (2-3 days) is charged at double the cost of
the photograph.
